| Biking visit different ethnic groups along the bank of route 3A as: Lanten, Tai Dam and Khmu, for the first day stay with Khmu family, In the morning on the next day led by a Khmu guide who takes you through the centre of the National Protected Area-an ASEAN declared Natural Heritage Site. You will be able to see many different kinds of non-timber forest products (NTP’s), to learn about birds, animals, plants, and trees of the jungle tropical forest. Easy biking visit different ethnic groups through Luang Namtha valley as: Lanten, Tai Dam and Khmu, Tai Lue; visit the village’s ancient temple and Stupas; The first day stay overnight at homestay of Ban Chalernsouk. In the morning on the next day led by a Khmu guide who takes you a short climb to upland forest and high open ridges, descending to sleep overnight at a minority village alongside the Nam Ha River. The second day starts with an easy walk along the Nam Ha River, before ascending up into mature forest some 500 year old, through to spectacular ridge top views and upland rice cultivation. We then hike down to a third village in the afternoon to round off a great trek and return to Luang Namtha.

| The Nam Tha River is the artery of North-West Laos especially Luang Namtha Province, the river cuts through parts of the Nam Ha NPA, revealing some rare stands of old growth forest and passing by villages of diverse ethnic groups. Kayaking trip-closely observing the flora and fauna of this region offers a unique experience in the naturally diverse landscapes of Northern Laos and visit different ethnic groups as Black Tai, Mien-Lanten, Mon-Khmer, Tai Lue and stay overnight with Tai Lue family. | Biking visit ethnic groups are settled along the road, as: Kamu, Tai Lue, Tai Dam (Waving village), Tai Nuae (Villages of Lao Laos “Lao rice whiskey” and Hand noodle making), Yao and Akha, a waterfall, through the Nam Ha NPA, visit the Muang Sing Museum (open Monday to Friday, only). Next day trek to explore real nature, trek through overgrown of forest (the center of Nam Ha National Protected Area) on the old Falangs* trail (50 year ago road Muang Sing to Luang Namtha), hike to higher mountain 1,900 meters from sea level to see marvelous view of the mountain, that wide as far as the eyes can see, some on the top of wide cogon grass you can see unlimited view, that make our entranced and that area was place of the old French army, to see beautiful sunset and sunrise. || Video | More photos | Book now | Read more >> |
